Supreme Court Ruling: Police have no duty to protect

Note from Amy:  Why did I put this link on here?  Because I fear the escalation of all the gun control laws.  Sure, we live in a community where we feel safe, where none of our closest friends have been mugged or raped, where no violent crimes have happened to anyone close to us.  The bad guys happen to be pretty rare where we live.  But it is NOT because of the police, it is because the bad guys are doing the bad things somewhere else.

If you think the police are there to protect us, from this story you can learn that is not their main job.  When the bad things start happening in my town, the only reason an evil person will stay away from my house is his fear that I may have a gun.  And for sure, I want him to stay away.
