Still had time to read the internet

We had an open house for our son Bryce and his fiancee on Saturday night, and we attended the blessing of our two new granddaughters, Tessa and Hannah, on Sunday.

We took our family picture on Sunday night, I'll get some of those up here soon.  But in the meantime, here are two articles I found on the internet today.

Noemie Emery writes how feminists have so elevated the choice of abortion that they have no moral grounds on which to complain that millions of people every year around the world are choosing to abort female fetuses.

From the Washington Examiner:

http://washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/columnists/2011/07/liberals-some-womens-choices-more-equal-others#ixzz1V7xraFQN

....choices, of course, must never be questioned, no matter to what ends they lead. Late-term abortion? Terrific. Infant dismemberment? Hardly a problem. Sequential abortion? No problem there.
Abortion as a tool to dispose of unwanted girl children? Now, this is a problem, but liberals have surrendered the right and the standing to make moral judgments. They have found now a choice they despise, and they can't rail against it....What in the world would they say?

.... they have no words at all for all those dead females. They are strangled and silenced by "choice."

"Obama's Jekyll and Hyde Routine:  Disturbing Mixed Messages"

http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=45524
Here’s the schizophrenic political message the American people now hear when they listen to Obama speak:  Big Government can improve lives and create economic prosperity … except right now, because the economic catastrophe my reckless spending has triggered has left me and my administration impotent and unable to redistribute ever-dwindling wealth.  My team of economic advisers has the smartest plans and strategies for creating jobs … except that jobs are nowhere in sight, 16.2% of people can’t find enough work, one in five men doesn’t work, and one in seven now relies on food stamps to put meals on the table.

I am the arbiter of hope and change, and I’m a strong leader who can navigate us through the worst economy since the Great Depression … except that, even though my party controls 66% of the government, I still send my advisers out to blame America’s first-ever S&P downgrade on the Tea Party, whose members I believe are crazy and insignificant … except that they are, apparently, smart and significant.

Praying They Vote "No"

I am so sad, so angry, and so frustrated about this pending health care bill. I just finished emailing both of my senators, and I hope you will too.

Sen. Reid’s Government-Run Health Plan Requires a Monthly Abortion Fee
Posted by GOP Leader Press Office on November 19th, 2009

Just like the original 2,032-page, government-run health care plan from Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA), Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s (D-NV) massive, 2,074-page bill would levy a new “abortion premium” fee on Americans in the government-run plan.

I DO NOT WANT TO PAY FOR ABORTIONS.

I do not want the government to have to approve every procedure, and I don't want the government to have my health records. I fear very greatly that somewhere in the future (when everything in the government goes much, much worse than what it is now) that the government will know everything about me (political and religious views and medical records) and be enabled to deny me health treatments purely because they know I am a conservative.

This bill is going WAY overboard, doing things that the Constitution does not cover and never intended to cover. I believe in the Constitution and states rights.

This bill will raise the costs of health care, and raise our already skyhigh taxes. And the Book of Mormon says King Noah was a bad king because he took 1/5 of the people's property. Thats a laugh.

ProLife and Proud of it

I have been ProLife ever since I found out what the word "abortion" meant. I have handed out phamphlets and written to my congressmen and presidents. Around 1995 or 1996 when the Freedom of Choice Act was just being proposed, I gave out flyers and did everything I could to defeat it. Thankfully it was defeated.

Now it is one of President Obama's stated goals to pass this once-defeated bill. It will overturn virtually every single bill in every state which puts limits on obtaining abortions. The ban on Partial Birth Abortions will also be overturned.

I know its not much, but I just received an email about a movement to mail thousands or millions of red envelopes to Pres. Obama, to show our outrage over his plans to pass the Freedom of Choice Act. If you are interested, read the email below.

All you people who are ProLife. Here is something we can do on March 31 to make our voices heard.

Get a red envelope. You can buy them at Kinkos - or at party supply stores.

On the front - address it to:

President Barack Obama
The White House
1600 Pennsylvania Ave NW
Washington , D.C. 20500

On the back - write the following message: This envelope represents one child who died because of an abortion. It is empty because - the life that was taken is now unable to be a part of our world.

We will mail the envelopes on March 31st, 2009.

Forward this event to every one of your friends who you think would send one too. I wish we could send 50 million red envelopes - one for every child who died [in the U..S. ] before having a chance to live.

It may seem that those who believe abortion is wrong are in a minority. It may seem like we have no voice and it is shameful to even bring it up. Let us show our President and the world that the voices of those of us who do not believe abortion is acceptable are not silent and must be heard.

Barack Obama spoke at a Planned Parenthood Action Fund event, uttering the now infamous line, "Well, the first thing I would do as president is - is sign the Freedom of Choice Act. [Applause.] That is the first thing that I would do."

An empty red envelope will send a message to President Barack Obama that there is moral outrage in this country over this issue [The Freedom of Choice Act, which will essentially undo every law currently in place to limit abortion in the U.S. .. (i.e., parental consent laws, parental notification, waiting periods, prohibition of transporting a minor girl across state lines to obtain an abortion, etc.)]. It is a quiet - but clear - message of protest.

ALL life is precious and Sacred. I am getting my red envelopes ready. How about you?
