Another view of House on Nowata Road
Here, Carla is about 3, so the addition onto the house is also about 3 years old. You can see the addition right behind me (in yellow dress), my sister Cindy (in orange), Larry, and Carla. The front porch, living room window, and master bedroom window are all visible here. Also, see the moose antlers hanging on the garage. My dad shot that moose, and Larry still has the antlers.

"Time to Blossom" banner
This is my sister, Carla Jorgensen (left) and her business partner Debbie Forrest, during their big Young Women's conference in Arizona. Their business is called "Time to Blossom", and they put on retreats for young women 11-16. It is a completely fabulous and high quality event, that the girls all love.
Someone volunteered to make this banner for them. What a beautiful banner! I love the three-dimensional flowers!

My niece's daybed
I went to stay at my sister's house in Arizona a couple of weeks ago, and just loved this daybed. My niece picked out all the fabrics, and they hired someone to make it for her. SO CUTE!

My brother and me
Here is my older brother and me, a few weeks ago when I was visiting in Oklahoma. Our family went to watch him at a roping. He won one go-round, but I think having his whole family there to watch him made him a little nervous, so he didn't win the big money.
I wore sandals to the roping, that wasn't the smartest thing in the world, since the parking lot and inside the indoor arena was all dirt. I should have known better! But I haven't been to a roping or a rodeo for probably 35 years, so I forgot.
This picture was taken inside the indoor arena building (notice the dirt floor). This practice roping cow was just sitting there. This is a much fancier one than the one we always had in our yard when I was growing up. It was merely a plastic head stuck onto a bale of hay. Larry practiced roping it, unless I was around, then he would rope me instead.
I was impressed with the women's restroom there at the arena, so I took a picture of it for you to see.
Maybe someone kicked a hole in the door, I don't know.
(Beware, Politics below.)
Read about our self-confessed cokehead president:
Historians of the future will be hard-pressed to explain how the most successful nation on Earth...., could have elected as its president a man who is impervious to shame in talking about his long-term drug use, and who appears on comedy shows to make jokes about having been a better pot-smoker than another president.

Articles about Carla's conference "Time to Blossom"
My sister Carla and her friend are in charge of these conferences in Arizona for young girls.
Both of these articles used the same photo, but one story is a pre-story, and the next is a post-story.

My brother, the cowboy
Larry sent me this photo, a few years ago. He was so proud that he had won the championship saddle.
He competes in steer ropings. He used to rope me when I was little, and I hated it.
He can also do rope tricks, like Will Rogers. It is pretty awesome.

All my mother's descendants, minus Adam
Here is the family portrait we had taken at the Clarkson Family reunion in 1996. This is the first and last time all of my mother's six children and all her grandchildren were ever together in a photo. I think the only grandchild not born yet is Spencer.
Notice the T-shirts: they were all adult sizes, even for the kids.
And notice Adam, at the left side of the picture. He was 14 years old, and could not be persuaded to stay long enough for the photo.
If you want to know where my immediate family is:
Wayne is near the top at the right side, leaning on the railing.
I am standing in the front, near the right, holding Zac.
Isaac is standing next to me, with his hands on Tara's shoulders. I don't know why she is wearing a pioneer sunbonnet.
Adam is off to the left.
Seth is at the left of the group, near the corner of the building. Bryce is next to Seth. Most of Bryce's face is covered by his cousin's head.

Funny Joke on my Sister
I just read this on my sister Carla's Facebook. Its a story about what happened when they were vacationing in Boston over Christmas break. Very funny!
Sunday our family attended the latest church we could find, which was the Harvard's single ward in Boston.
Because many students weren't back from Christmas break, they asked my two daughters to play the piano for the meeting.
If that isn't crazy enough the Stake President, who had met us at the door, announced the first speaker will be Brother J. and the second will be Sister J. as he gave us our topic!!!! I still haven't gotten over it!
